It is a reflection service based on Year 11 Exam Stress. The theme is; we are all UNIQUE! It is a full service bundle, containing the essentials for a engaging, effective and relaxing service. The service itself is designed to help students reflect on the good, the bad and what they want to achieve in the future. Recognising that they are UNIQUE. With time for self-reflection and meditation. It is perfect for a whole year group, during form time or a lesson should you wish to. Although it is based on Year 11 and exams it could be adapted for any year group. Included is a PPT containing everything needed for service, all the music and videos are imbedded for full effect. A Word document is also included, containing a plan for the service and all the reading which correspond with the numbers on the slide in a blue box, in the top right corner. It allows students to reflect on what they could be doing in 5, 10 years time. The last slide, is a resource called 'Career Clouds', letting students reflect. By the time they finish high school they will look at the cloud again and see if they are on the right track to achieving their future career goals, or to see if they have completely changed their mind and career path. This resources should be shown in the first week of a student starting the year. It is an assembly based on Acting out Gospel Values and Catholic Social Teaching (CST). I deliver it at the start of every year to all year groups, as a refresher and insight into the Catholic Life of school. I lead a groups of students who for the Spiritual Life Student Council (SLSC), they lead and take part in assemblies, masses, services, charity events, work in other local schools and retreats and reflections. This is a great way to get involved and allows students to develop their leaderships, communication and other vital skills; which they can put on their CV. Students are fully trained and receive a certificate of achievement as well as key skills learnt. Included in the PPT is space for you to put your school logo and images of your school acting out Gospel Values; charity/masses/services etc. The header of all slides state 'Catholic Life Enrichment @__________' Giving you space to add your school name. This assembly focuses on values. It is designed to help students understand what a PEEL paragraph is and how they can use it in their writing, across all subjects and levels. The resource itself is split into 4 different posters/displays/worksheets. The first is a guide to show what each letter of PEEL stands for and how you form a paragraph using the acronym. It also gives simple image to illustrate the main point of the letter. The second includes a range of sentence starters for each of the letters, giving students a starting point form and write a PEEL paragraph. The third gets students to think about what they need to do when forming a peel paragraph. Giving simple questions, that students should think about and try to find out before writing the paragraph. The fourth is writing frame template to help student form and write the perfect PEEL paragraph. All slides are colour coded, in conjunction with PEEL, so each letter has its own colour. You could print them in A3 size to display around your classroom, so if students get stuck they can refer to them. Or, you could print onto one sheet and hand to students to put in their diary or stick in their books for future reference. The template page you could print a few up and pin them to a board so student can take one to help them when needed. I would suggest printing them in colour, to get maximum use of the individual colour coded letters. The main aim is to encourage positive marking from teachers when students write extended pieces of work or the marking of their books. Helps students recognise what they need to change and improve on for next time, allowing them to correct the mistakes that they have made. Helping students improve their writing! The resource itself is a set of marking code posters to display in classrooms. Teachers should use these codes when marking students work in all subjects, this will help students to have unity and a sense of understanding in what has been marked as each code will be the same. The idea behind it being everyone deserves a little recognition for all the hard work and dedication that both staff and student commit to each year. It forms part of the #12DaysofChristmas The main principle being you fill a box full of goodies (you can go to Poundland etc.), write and thankyou note a leave it in the right classroom/office etc. So then, that person will do the same for someone else… and so on… forming a chain of KINDNESS! “Add a sparkle this Christmas! Fill a box, full of Christmas items, like the one you have! Carry on the trail of Christmas joy. Place your box in the teachers or student’s classroom with their name on and add a note! This resource is designed to help you get to know students and for them to tell you more about them. It is a 4 page booklet with a title page and three activity pages. The first two pages provide opportunities for students to tell you a bit more about them, such as things they like, three words to describe them, their superpower, favourite food and colour etc. The second gives space for students to tell you things they want you to know, information and details about their family, school life, achievements and any questions they have for their form tutor that they may be to nervous to ask in front of a full class. The last page is designed to be an acrostic poem with your tutors name - ‘In 123 we are’, with the opportunity for students to fill in and decorate with a doodle border. This can be printed as a booklet with 2 pages on a page so it folds and flows as a 4 page booklet. The best way to print this is within the booklet settings of printer software/systems.
